NIST Metrics Calculations

After the RAW file is read into MassQC and searched, before the Thermometers can be populated with ranges and the recent runs, a set of calculations must be performed. These calculations are what bring to the user the nice, easy to understand numbers you see in the Dashboard.

This step of the pipeline can fail, however, if there is a mathematical error, such as divide by zero. When MassQC sees an undefined number or a number that is not real, it halts and throws an error message. See NIST Metrics Failures.
